Privacy policy
Who we are
Trent Construction Services Limited ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07988958), with its registered office at Trent House, Bridge Park, Wetmore Road, Burton on Trent, DE14 1PW. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, email us at info@trentcs.com or call 01283 480110.
The data we collect
We collect personal data you give us directly — for example when you complete our enquiry form, email us or telephone us. Depending on what you send, this typically includes your name, email address, phone number, company name and the details of your enquiry, along with any drawings or documents you attach. We also collect limited technical data about visits to this website (such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type) through the analytics cookies described in our cookie policy.
How we use it
We use your data to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, deliver and administer contracts, and keep in touch about work we are doing or have done for you. The lawful bases we rely on are: taking steps to enter into a contract with you; our legitimate interest in running and promoting our business; and, for anything beyond that, your consent. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Where it is stored and who we share it with
Enquiries submitted through this website are stored in HubSpot, our customer relationship management platform, on servers in the European Union. We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business (such as our website, email and IT providers), with professional advisers where necessary, and where the law requires it. Anyone processing data on our behalf does so under contract and only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and contract records for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, perform the contract and meet our legal obligations — typically six years after our last contact or the end of the contract, in line with limitation periods. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, to ask for it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, email info@trentcs.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and the current version will always be published here.
Cookie policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work properly and give its owner information about how it is being used. This policy explains how Trent Construction Services Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on trentcs.com. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our privacy policy.
Essential cookies
These are needed for the website to function and cannot be switched off through the site itself. They include cookies set by our hosting platform for security and performance — for example bot protection and load balancing. They store no personally identifying information beyond what is technically necessary.
Analytics cookies
We use two analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how people arrive, and roughly where visits come from. This helps us improve the site. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
HubSpot, the platform this website runs on, sets analytics cookies including __hstc (main tracking cookie, 6 months), hubspotutk (visitor identity, 6 months), __hssc (session tracking, 30 minutes) and __hssrc (session start, expires when you close your browser). Google Analytics sets _ga and related cookies (up to 2 years) to distinguish visitors and measure site usage.
Cookies set when you contact us
If you submit our enquiry form, HubSpot may associate its analytics cookies with your enquiry so we can see which pages you viewed before getting in touch. This is covered in our privacy policy.
Managing cookies
When you first visit this site, a banner asks whether to allow analytics cookies — they are only set if you accept. You can change your choice at any time by selecting (also in the footer of every page), which reopens the banner. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser lets you clear cookies already stored and refuse new ones, either entirely or for specific sites. Guidance for your browser is available from its help pages, and general advice is available from the ICO at ico.org.uk. Blocking cookies will not stop this site working, though we will no longer be able to see how it is being used.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example if the cookies the site uses change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
